Upon arrival customer had an old water heater which was functional poorly. Techs shut power off to the water heater, ran out the hot water, and shut off cold water inlet to the water heater and drained it down afterwards. Techs then removed it and disposed of the water heater and installed new electric 40 gallon Rheem water heater with a mixing valve as required by code. I then ran the air out of the water heater as to not dry fire it and damage the elements. I also added a shutoff valve on the out water outlet for improved serviceability. Everything is functioning properly with no issues at the time of service.
