Upon inspection, a section of baseboard piping was found to be burst near a 90-degree fitting located within an exterior wall. The damaged piping was removed and replaced with new 3/4” heating-rated PEX piping to allow for improved expansion tolerance in the event of future freezing. The transition from the existing copper piping to the new PEX was completed using two 3/4” copper-to-PEX adapters, along with one 3/4” PEX 90-degree fitting to properly route the piping at the corner. All accessible piping was insulated with foam insulation to provide additional protection against freezing. The heating loop was then pressurized with air and tested for leaks, with no pressure loss observed during testing. The loop was subsequently refilled with water, checked again for leaks, purged of air, and fully tested for proper operation. At this time, the system is functioning as intended. We recommended adding the proper glycol mixture to the system for freeze protection; however, the homeowners e
