The homeowner requested replacement of the upstairs bathroom toilet, and we recommended installing a black Kohler Highline model to match the master bathroom for a consistent appearance and improved reliability. Water was shut off and the existing toilet was fully drained, disconnected, removed, and properly disposed of. Upon removal, the toilet flange was inspected and found to be severely corroded with compromised structural integrity. A new flange was installed to provide a secure and stable mounting surface and prevent future movement. During installation, it was discovered that the existing PVC flange was not properly secured to the drainage piping; the flange was correctly glued and fastened using screws to ensure a solid connection. The new toilet was installed using new closet bolts, wax ring, and braided supply line, and shims were used to level the base.
