Treated H:1 PH: 8 FE:0 Raw: H:36 PH:7.5 FE:0 36 hardness at fixtures Upon arrival customers had been experiencing water quality issues which in turn would cause damage to their instruments. Customer stated that they had not had the system serviced and were unsure of the installation date. I tested from the pre and post test ports installed with the system and found that while the water quality was not perfect on the treated side the hardness and PH were not extremely bad. I found that the hardness was very high on the raw side AND at the fixtures. I inspected the plumbing and found that the bypass for a solenoid shutoff had been left open, which in turn bypassed the softener allowing untreated water into the plumbing. I closed the bypass and verified that they still had water. Moving forward I recommend leaving the bypass of the solenoid and softener open followed by the service of the softener at an appropriate time to see if this improves the water quality. I took a raw
