I am a skilled professional that works for a Jerm's Plumbing, Heating & Air company. I performed annual maintenance on the Airco oil furnace. I replaced the fuel nozzle, oil filter, and pump strainer. I found that the Firematic oil shutoff valve at the tank is not fully closing. I discussed replacing the shutoff valve and updating the oil filter assembly with Beverly; both projects will be addressed after the heating season. I brushed and vacuumed the heat exchanger and flue pipe. I tested and confirmed proper operation of all system safeties and burner components. I inspected and verified correct operation of the blower motor. I performed a combustion test, smoke test, and draft test. I reviewed the life expectancy of the system. While all testable components are operating properly at this time, the unit is over 30 years old and subject to age-related failure. The system is operating properly at this time.
