We tightened the packing nuts on both the hot and cold shutoff valves for the downstairs lavatory faucet. After the homeowner replaced the fixture, the shutoff valves had begun leaking from the gaskets. Tightening the packing nuts resolved the issue, and no leaks were present at the time of completion. We removed the P-trap and replaced all gaskets due to corrosion and missing components. New gaskets were installed to ensure a reliable, watertight seal throughout the trap assembly, including a new gasket at the top where one had previously been missing. The sink was filled completely and drained to test for proper operation, and no leaks were observed. For the upstairs sink faucet, we removed the aerator and found the screen partially clogged with mineral buildup, which was restricting water pressure.
