Customer reported no heat on the second floor. Diagnosed a failed circulator on the second-floor heating zone that was not circulating water. Replaced the failed circulator, purged the zone, and verified proper operation. Replaced the boiler expansion tank and the automatic high vent on the air scoop due to failure. Inspected the air scoop nozzle, filter strainer, tank filter, and burner strainer; all were found restricted. Flushed the oil line to clear restrictions and restore proper fuel flow. Performed combustion analysis and draft testing, and verified all system safeties were operating correctly. Confirmed all other heating zones were functioning properly and thermostats were responding as intended. Completed annual maintenance on the oil-fired boiler system, including a comprehensive inspection of safety controls and components to ensure safe, efficient operation in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
