The customer reported that during basement renovations, several wires may have been damaged, resulting in the boiler not operating properly. Upon inspection, one control wire was found disconnected and no longer leading to the boiler. Using a multimeter, the wire was traced and confirmed to be the thermostat circuit. The wire was reconnected at the boiler, and the affected zone was tested and verified to be operating correctly. For the additional zone, diagnostics showed that the thermostat was not calling for heat. The customer plans to purchase and install a replacement thermostat, at which time that zone should resume normal operation. At the completion of service, the system was operational and functioning as designed.
