Furnace tune-up and safety inspection. Furnace is 20 years old. Tested all mechanical components. Furnace is operating adequately at the moment; however, I found multiple issues that need to be addressed. The ignition system is very corroded. Found blower capacitor below acceptable range. Found 4” flue pipe very corroded/rusted and needs replacement due to finding two holes in the flue, along with the condition. After showing customer issues, started the furnace back up and also noticed flames rolling out after the blower motor was engaged. Also showed flames dancing in and out of the heat exchanger tubes to the customer. Giving customer all estimates for repairs and replacements. Took pictures and measurements in notes for this job. Customer is going with the new install. Scheduled for Jan 6th, 2026
