Upon arrival, the customer reported a backed-up bathtub and occasional slow drainage in the shower. We tested all fixtures and flushed all toilets to assist in diagnosing the issue. Based on our assessment, we recommended running the K60 machine from the roof to clear the main line, followed by a camera inspection for visual confirmation. The camera inspection revealed significant scaling and multiple areas of channel rot in the main line. JTP recommends performing a descaling and jetting service to restore proper flow and prevent further deterioration. We then attempted to clear the tub by running a drill snake through the overflow; however, we were unable to get past the blockage. We proceeded to use the K50 cable through the tub drain and successfully restored drainage. However, we encountered an obstruction approximately 10 feet in, which we suspect may be a break in the cast iron pipe, contributing to the slow drainage and potential for future blockages.
