Honest guys which is unusual these days! Appreciate the honesty!!
Carl was great, friendly, professional and clear on the options.
Carl Robinson was probably the friendliest and most professional estimator I have ever encountered. However the job estimate was far higher than I expected. Will still keep looking for a more reasonable price.
Kameron is great. Attention to detail and very knowledgeable.
I reviewed Gary's work yester- day following the completion of the job! He was given a five star rating, as well as a glow- ing written review
I was in a difficult situation with a garbage disposal that hadn’t work-ed for several months. Gary - & his apprentice, Marquis - arrived on time & installed the new “Insinker-ator” that I had purchased at Home Depot quickly-& efficiently! I found both men to be capable - & courte-ous beyond words! Gary even pro-vided me with an estimate for a more involved “pending project” that I will be calling this company BACK to do within a week or two, as it was too involved to begin today - on “Fri., the 13th!” With a trip scheduled for Mon, the 16th, I resolved to trust the larger, more involved project to Gary’s (& Mar-quis’) capable hands when I return!
Upon arrival to the location, we met with Thomas’s friends who opened the door and showed us inside. He showed us the downstairs guest bathroom and mentioned it’s been down for 2 days. They had a plumber supposedly change the guts last week but he didn’t do a good job because the toilet continuously runs and the handle doesn’t lift the flapper. He had purchased a new fill valve thinking it needed to be changed but I mentioned it just needs adjusting. I showed him some options and he thought the minimum of $225 was too much.
Upon arrival customer thought he had a back up in kitchen sink. We tested 3 times to find there was no blockage. Valves under sink were updated to 1/4 turn shut offs recently. Further inspection customer had an old style gate valve as the main shut to home and it will have to be updated to a 1/4 turn ball valve. Estimate provided for update Thank you for calling John The Plumber -Shane
Upon arrival, customer informed me that she had water leaking from her ceiling on the second floor and water spots on the wall on both the second and first floors. Customer stated that she thinks there was a pipe that burst in the wall. Customer stated that she saw water coming out of a pipe draining down to an awning outside of her window. I advised customer I would run a leak diagnostic. After doing a thorough diagnostic, I determine that the cause of the water was the air conditioning unit in the attic on the second floor. The condensate line is leaking from somewhere or the pan is overflowing, which is causing water to spread. I checked pressure throughout the house to make sure that customer had a good flow rate. Advised owner via telephone that we would just be charging him a diagnostic fee, a small one and the emergency dispatch fee. Customer satisfied.
Replaced deteriorated 2" P-trap assembly on shower drain line with new Schedule 40 PVC for improved flow and durability. Removed and replaced compromised 2 inch cast iron (Y-fitting) with a new fitting to restore proper drainage configuration. All connections secured using (5) heavy-duty no-hub couplings to ensure a watertight, code-compliant seal. Performed static (drop) test on shower system to verify integrity of all joints and confirm leak-free performance. System passed pressure test—no leaks observed.
Upon arrival customer wanted to add a laundry in her air b&b. There is no water supply close to area so we will have to tap the water from main valve in the back of home, the whole project relies on the location of the sewer. We presented an estimate to ran camera and locator. Customer declined. Further inspection water heater was from 2012 and will need to be updated in the near future. The main water shut off is old style gate valve with broken handle and will need to be updated to a 1/4 turn ball valve. Estimates provided for repairs. 954-310-1633 Epix Electrical Solutions Thank you for calling John The Plumber! We hope to hear from you soon -Shane
Upon arrival I was shown to a shower stoppage. After confirming it isn’t in the main line, an estimate to clear the shower stoppage with the drill snake and a bottle of bio one was agreed on. After I cleared the stoppage, I ran the shower for a while to ensure the line was clear and water was draining freely. I then presented the bottle of bio one and explained what it does and how often to use it for drain maintenance.
On arrival the customer showed me the tankless water heater and main emergency shutoff valve. I checked the breaker box for proper sizing as well as check for the drain line for the new tanked water heater tmp. I wrote up an estimate to put in a new water heater with water heater emergency shutoff valve and a permit. After presenting the estimate to the customer and going over the work I would be doing and the warranty that comes with it. The customer declined the estimate and stated they were quoted by another company $1300. They will call back if they would like to move forward because the estimate given by the company that quoted $1300 does not state any warranty or drain system.
Upon arrival we informed the customer of the membership visit and what it entailed. We recommended replacing the old multi turn emergency shutoff Valves and the old gate style laundry valves. Estimates has been sent to the customer and he’s gonna get back to us
Upon arrival customer showed me water heater that he had parts sent out from manufacturer to be installed Upon inspecting explained to customer, we would have remove water lines on top of water heater to make repairs. Customer wants us to start job in the first week of June. Customer will call when ready for install
Upon arrival to the home, we met with homeowner Joseph who met us at the front door and showed us the front spigot that he mentioned was spinning internally. He also said he wanted to change the rest of the spigots around the house. They all were original to the house, and partially inside the block wall. I asked to check the main valve and water heater which we replaced recently for them. Moreover, I got Joseph some options to change out the exterior hose bibs which he agreed with. We advised him we will check for leaks prior to patching which we did. After chipping out then wall, we got what we needed and made the required repairs. We then tested for leaks after Joseph turned the water back on to the home. Hence, all is working accordingly at the moment. (3) Install premium Wolverine Brass ball valve hose bib w/ SS handle WOLVERINE BRASS MAKES THE HIGHEST QUALITY HOSE BIBS, THIS STYLE OF HOSE BIB MAKES TURNING THE WATER ON AND OFF EASY. Customer called requesting plumber after finding a water on the floor near her toilet after taking a shower.when we arrived and customer walked us to bathroom in question she also had a stoppage backing up main branch from the bathroom.we proceeded to also providing the customer for peace of mind a free camera inspection.during the process we also saw the flange was cast iron and low leveled to where it was causing wax rings to decay and not seal toilet properly so customer approved a new flange installation.we finalized that portion and we began to run the camera in which we saw a severity of roots in the pipe approximately 4 feet in underground and many belly’s in the pipe in which customer saw when we ran the inspection. Up completion we tested and flushed many times and no leaks or backup for now, customer is also aware and advised that there is no warranty on stoppages.spoke to customer about installing clean out outside as well as a jetting and descale service however they stated
Met with the homeowner, who explained that he had recently received a high water bill. Upon entering the home for inspection, a running toilet was immediately heard. The homeowner informed us that he is hard of hearing and partially deaf. Inspection and Findings • Identified a running toilet as the source of potential water loss. • No other immediate signs of leaks were found during the preliminary walkthrough. Work Performed • Rebuilt the toilet using minor parts and adjustments. • After the rebuild, rechecked the system and confirmed that no leaks were present in the home. Additional Notes • Initially planned a full house evaluation; however, due to limited communication ability, the evaluation was concluded after the toilet repair. • No other recommendations at this time. Summary A minor toilet rebuild was completed to address the high water bill concern. No further issues were detected, and no additional repairs are recommended at this time. ⸻
