Josh from John the Plumber arrived on time, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and efficient.
Assessed the problem effectively and came up with a solution
Good service and professional but for a high price- to unclog my kitchen sink-no emergency and less than one hour— was charged $429.89
Kim Smith from John The Plumber was excellent. He called on his way over, was very professional, and fixed our plumbing issues in no time! Highly recommend

I had a unique plumbing project. I recently purchased a property that had basic/adequate tub and shower fixtures. I had already replaced 3 toilets and 2 vanities myself but upgrades for my tub and showers were unique. First of all the property had pex piping which the only thing I know about is for me "not top touch". I had already contacted a skilled handyman and 2 contractors-all of which didn't want to take on the job due to the complexity. I called JOHN THE PLUMBER to get an estimate. Over the phone I told them I needed a "skilled" plumber who enjoyed a challenge. The next day Kim Smith shower up to give me an estimate. He was friendly and courteous but most importantly he was truly excited about the challenge. I braced for the estimate which was lower than I expected (I figured that at the end there would be "extra add on charges) and accepted the proposal. The following day Kim Smith showed up ready for the challenge. He completed the project within 1.5 days and was extraordinary. My project had back to back showers with unique upgrades. Definitely not a standard plumbing project. At the end when it was time to settle up the bill it was exactly what I was quoted. So glad I called JOHN THE PLUMBER and KIM SMITH you went above and beyond!
The guys did a great job. Would definitely want them back on my. Next service call.
Upon arrival customer was concerned about whole home back up. When we arrived it was only the kitchen sink backed up, but we ran the showers and flushed all the toilets to test for the main line. Everything checked out except the kitchen sink and laundry. We ran a k60 through the clean out on the wall of the kitchen. We ran roughly 25ft of cable to clear the blockage. We went around and ran shower flushed toilets and tested sink and laundry and everything is flowing great.
Service Visit Summary Upon arrival, the customer presented several concerns for evaluation. Two primary issues identified were: Phantom Flushing in the Guest Toilet Broken Hose Bib Handle After discussing options, the customer is considering full replacement of both the toilet and hose bib. During our inspection, we also noted that the existing water heater is approximately 10 years old. We provided an estimate for a full replacement, as well as an alternative option to descale the current unit. Both options have been included in the estimate for the customer's review. Additionally, we recommended replacing 11 angle stops throughout the home. The current multi-rotating angle stops show signs of wear and we suggest upgrading to quarter-turn angle stops for improved functionality and longevity. We also identified a corroded main valve under the vanity in the guest bathroom. An estimate for its replacement has been provided. At the customer’s request, we included an estimate for the
Upon arrival to the location, I met with Ryan who opened the door and gave us the green light to begin working on the main line. After finding where the meter box was located, we shut it off and began making the adjustments to accommodate our tank. Moreover, after we had the tank filled with the bedding we connected it to the main line to soak for about an hour. When we got back from a break, we finished tying in a hose bib on the outlet and programmed the filter and explained how it operates to Ryan. In conclusion, I told him to let his tub water run for about 15 mins, to flush the system, and reminded him of maintenance every 3-5 years. All is well at the moment. Upon arrival to the location, I met with Ryan who showed me inside. Ryan began by mentioning he has a toilet in the master bathroom which is not set right, it wobbles. I noticed everything in the home looked new, Ryan mentioned they renovated the entire house within the past few years. The water heater is also about 4-5 years old. Furthermore, Ryan also stated he’s tired of the water smell, taste and color and would like a whole home filtration. There’s two bathrooms in the home and just two people living there. I spoke to Ryan about softeners and carbon filters, he mentioned he’s ok without the softener, he had one up north and is not really a fan, but he did mention RO for under the kitchen sink. In addition, I got some options for Ryan and he chose to get the toilet reset and wanted a few minutes to go over options but was interested in the bigger size tank with the RO. Hence, I got what was needed for the toilet repair and after I did the necessary work, I called Ryan over to check
Upon arrival customer had no us of facilities. We proposed to build a clean out, jet the line, and descale. We also proposed that we would snake the line for free on this visit if the jetter estimate was signed. Customer agreed and signed the estimate. We ran roughly 65ft of cable through the roof stack. We went inside and tested the toilets and showers. Everything is flushing good. We advised the customer that we would get the jetting scheduled and that we would reach out to the customer.
Upon arrival customer had a back up in kitchen sink. We ran k60 sewer machine through the washer/kitchen stack to relieve blockage. We pulled up grease clumps annd a chunk of pipe lining material. After testing a few times drain became clogged again. We cleared drain again and pulled up a smaller piece of pipe lining material as well as grease, followed by more testing to have it clog again. This time we ran camera to view any imperfections in pipe to find large amounts of grease build up. We ran spade head to relieve blockage and break up the grease we assured customer if they do not do a jetting this will most definitely happen again. At this point moving forward there is no warranty on drain cleaning and a jetting service will have to be preformed. Estimate provided for jetting main line through washer/kitchen stack.
upon arrival we were shown to kitchen sink holding water and was informed that water was coming up in the laundry room, out of the cleanout and the vent stack. An estimate to clear the main line stoppage was agreed on and after the stoppage was cleared we filled and drained the sink and ran water to ensure the main line was cleared. Customer is aware that there is a belly on his cast main line
Upon arrival, the customer showed us several issues they were experiencing. We opened the panel for the tub to diagnose the problem with the jet tub and discovered that the fittings on the pump are cracked. We also installed a new tub spout with a shower diverter. Additionally, we found that the diverter section of the handheld shower is leaking. We will be searching for replacement parts for both the jet tub fittings and the handheld diverter and will contact the customer with an estimate once we have located suitable options. We are also ordering a new American Standard shower cartridge due to low water pressure in the shower. Once the part arrives, we will reach out to reschedule the installation.
This estimate was provided for new sanitary re-pipe for two 5000 gallon septic tanks two sewer connections, one on the north side of the building and one on south side of the building as per video taken.
Upon arrival kitchen sink was clogged due to garbage disposal malfunctioning. We supplied and installed new 1/2 hp insinkerator garbage disposal. Kitchen sink is draining as it should. It seemed as if there were either stones or glass in previous disposal. Thank you for calling John The Plumber -Shane
Upon arrival, I replaced the main 3/4 gate valve with ball valve and replaced the hot and cold gate valves to ball valves in the master bathroom add on. I also performed a minor rebuild on master bathroom toilet. I then checked all work for leaks and function.
Upon arrival customer had his ac unit leaking into his water heater. Water heater components shorted out breaker and with being 11 years old unit will have to be replaced. After 10 years we do not work on units. Customer also had a cpvc main water shut off right near water heater and in order to change heater customer will have to shut off main water, we will not touch cpvc ball valve. Customer also had a kitchen faucet in rough shape with old style multi turn valves under sink. We recommended updating emergency stops, and having customers purchase a faucet for us to install.
