Upon arrival, customer informed me that she had a kitchen sink stoppage, and it was backing up into her dishwasher as well. I advised customer that I would need to do a diagnostic to determine the cause of the stoppage, which will require me to remove the P-trap and test the electric. The first thing that I did was test the garbage disposal to make sure it engaged. Garbage disposal did not turn on when engaging the switch initially so I advised customer that I would need to isolate the power to find out if the outlet was functioning. We remove the garbage disposal, power cord, and plugged in an extension cord with a phone charger and other plug dependent items to test if there’s any power. None of the items worked meaning that the power was not working. After relaying power from an Other outlet using my extension cord, I plugged the disposal and and reset it.
