Upon arrival to the location, I met with homeowner frank who showed me inside. He explained he thought the water heater was leaking but found out it was coming from the AC handler above but the water heater is about 15 years he mentioned and knows it’s time to replace. There’s a good ball valve for the main and his existing breaker is a 20 amp double pole. I advised him we pull permits, but he didn’t care for the permit and preferred not to get it permitted. I advised him it would be up to him, we’ll still install the water heater per the code. I showed him two options, he thought it was expensive, I told him we can work with the price a bit. He showed me a quote he got a few months ago from another company for $1600. I told him we can’t match but I could take a couple hundred off the estimates I gave. He asked if he could have some time to think about it. I said that’s fine, I asked if I could follow up tomorrow, he said I could call later, he should have an answer.
