Came out to unit to replace shower pan as scheduled. After removing the old drain we inspected the drain and found the existing 2” copper P-trap was in bad shape and needed to be replaced to meet code and drain properly. The trap is located in the ceiling of the unit below. We were not given permission by the homeowner to access the unit underneath, so the P-trap replacement could not be done at this time. Work will need to go through the building association to get access to the lower unit. Shower pan installation is on hold until access is approved and the trap can be replaced. Contacted Harry from Entrusted to notify he would have to contact association to follow up up on rescheduling of shower pan.
