Service Summary: We met with the homeowner today regarding a reported leak from the base of her toilet. Upon inspection, we confirmed signs of leaking consistent with a compromised wax seal. We recommended pulling and resetting the toilet. After removing the toilet, we cleaned the flange, installed a new wax ring, and reset the toilet securely. Upon completion, no leaks were observed. Water Heater Inspection: We inspected the water heater and determined that it is a newer model in good working condition. No recommendations or actions needed at this time. Main Valve Concern: During the service, we attempted to shut off the home’s main water valve. The valve is a traditional gate valve and failed to close completely, making it difficult to isolate water to the property. We strongly recommend replacing this gate valve with a modern ball valve to ensure full shut-off capability in emergencies or future plumbing service.
