Customer called regarding a possible leak under the bathroom sink. Upon arrival, I was shown the hall bathroom where water was intermittently pooling on the vanity floor. I inspected and tested the faucet and emergency shut-off valves. During diagnosis, I found a small amount of water seeping from the nut connection beneath the sink, securing the faucet to the bowl. I loosened the nut, separated the rubber gasket, and applied a small amount of white caulking to help create a better seal. I informed the customer that this may be a temporary fix and that a proper repair would require replacing the bowl gasket if the issue persists. Additionally, the customer pointed out that the handle on the hot-side multi-turn emergency shut-off valve was broken. I provided an estimate to replace both existing multi-turn emergency shut-off valves with new 1/4-turn valves for improved reliability. The estimate was approved, and the replacements were completed.
