Upon arrival, the customer directed us to the guest bathroom where the toilet had already been disassembled. The customer expressed concern about water overflowing from the fill valve compartment when the toilet is flushed. Upon inspection, we noted that all screws securing the fill valve compartment lid were missing. The customer confirmed that the screws were missing when she initially removed the toilet seat from the base. Further evaluation revealed that the toilet may have shifted at some point, which likely caused the hose—pinned against the wall and connected to the compartment lid—to become misaligned. This may have contributed to the overflow issue. We resecured the fill valve compartment lid by reinstalling a screw and advised the customer to monitor the toilet for any further issues.
