Upon arrival, I found the system operating in both heating and cooling. The outdoor unit is from 2023 and the indoor is from 2012. I found that in a call for cooling or heating the blower motor would not rev up fully. This would result in a pressure switch to be tripped on the outdoor unit. I turned the cycles off and turned the fan on only. The blower would blow harder in the fan on mode than in cooling/heating mode. This failure was likely due to the unit not getting enough air. The system had minimal return air and a dirty filter. I contacted trane and located the part in McKinney. Customer did not want to move forward with repairs at the time of service. I advised the customer to leave the system off to minimize damage to the outdoor unit/evaporator coil.
