Upon arrival, I installed the heating kit and jumped the kit in and the system began to heat. I rechecked the defrost board and determined it was fully functional. The remaining issue is the thermostat. When the thermostat is bypasses with jumpers, the system is fully operational in heat pump and electric heat. We will need to reach out in the morning to return with a warranty 824 thermostat.
