Heat preventative maintenance on a heat pump from 2018 and a mini split from 2022. Customer did provide me with an air filter to replace today 20*20*1. During my inspection I checked temperatures, checked electrical connections and components, checked the heat kit and its safety components, washed the coils outside, and inspected the system for dirt buildup in it. I did find the heat pump to not have surge protection on it and after talking to the customer about it he does want to revisit it on his spring check up. Overall the systems are working and heating at this time and I did show the customer how to turn his electric heat on and off for the temperature drops below 32 degrees. System is running upon departure.
