Upon arrival customer stated they would take outside unit fan was not coming on. We noticed the upstairs blower wasn’t on either. We checked the thermostat to see a call for cooling. Thermostat was calling for cooling and fan was set to on. Turned fan to auto and set thermostat to cool and unit started working properly. We did notice ice melting and dripping off the evaporator coil. We checked the filter it was extremely dirty, not allowing enough airflow across the coil. Client did not have filter to be able to replace at this time. Filter size for upstairs is 16x25x4 downstairs is 20x25x4. We proceeded outside to check the pressures. Pressures were reading within range and outdoor fan motor and compressor were operating correctly. We determined the cause for the issues was the dirty filter. We offered surge protection for both upstairs and down stairs along with the membership plan. We stressed the benefits of having the plan to the customer. Customer is going to talk with his wife a
