Arrived to our clients home to evaluate the clients wants and needs for an ERV. Our client shared with me that they had recently remodeled the downstairs and upgraded the front door as well. They shared with me that the ecobee thermostat for the upstairs began reading spikes of VOC’s and CO2 after the remodeling was completed. This is there biggest concern and want a solution to help maintain low/ normal levels of VOC’s and CO2 in the home. Their temporary solution is to have windows open throughout the home to bring in fresh air. This presents a humidity and allergen issue which they are also concerned about. I proceeded to evaluate the upflow closet unit in the upstairs space. I then went into the attic opening to evaluate the existing ductwork and potential for adding a fresh air intake or ERV option.
