Performed AC diagnostic on year 2000 and Lennox condenser. Upon my diagnostic homeowner son was only one present and he stated that the system just stopped working a couple days ago and is no longer cooling. Upon my diagnostic I found a major terminal fault in their system. 1. Found a Condenser high-voltage wires connected to starter were completely burnt up and Crisp due to the high amperage pull of the heart of the system. 2. The compressor is only design for 26 A and is using a total of 27 to 30 A run time and even exceeding this due to the amount of wires that are burnt up. Homeowner even stated that the breaker that tripped previously prior to calling me due to the compressor using too much power 3. Starter had significant burning on contact points and on compressor wire lugs 4. R22 refrigerant levels were low as well due to a leak somewhere within the refrigeration cycle Discussed the full condition of the system with homeowner over the phone.
