Customer States: Leaking water heater in garage, no hot water. Has been without hot water for days. Technician Notes: Out today to look into issue with the 50 gallon natural gas water heater located in the main level garage. Unit is currently leaking from the top and bottom of the water heater. Homeowner turned water and gas off to the unit. Water heater will need replaced with code requirements. The existing water heater is 21” in diameter. The open between the door trim and the HVAC unit is only 19.5. Door trim will need to be removed to get old heater out and new heater in. Resolution: Submit to CHW while onsite. CHW denied this work order. They were given the option for us to supply and install a new water heater. Explained to customer they denied work order. Explained I had a new heater and everything needed for install in the van but he is not interested. He wants to call his home warranty company.
