We performed 2 system cooling maintenance on 2004 gas systems. These systems are R22. We checked amps, capacitors, filters, drains, electrical, safeties, and cleanliness. We found that these units are on their last legs. The unit located on the right side of the home needs: blower replacement, water safety add ons, a blower capacitor, an emergency drain pan, the drain cleared, and a hard start kit. Also, it was discovered that the unit has parts of the coil that are plugged causing the refrigerant to bypass parts of the coil. The kitchen/other system needs: a blower motor, blower capacitor, water safety add ons, the drain cleared, contactor, and a hard start kit. Also, it was discovered that this unit has a refrigerant leak due to oil residue being present. We provided options to address the repairable issues and suggested system replacement. Customer declined repairs at the time of service.
