Performed Spring Ac maintenance on 2 York condensers. Replaced 1 inch filters. Cycled systems for cooling. Checked outdoor unit electrical and system components. Amp draws for compressor and condenser fan motor are within range. Primary motor controls are in good condition. Secondary motor controls are within range. Pulled off condenser fan motors and thoroughly cleaned off condenser coil inside and out. Removed as much Pine needles as possible. Cycled system, system is fully operational upon departure.
Performed diagnostic on 2 16 year old York furnaces. Homeowner states that systems are not working as they should and one register is making a loud noise. Cycled systems for heat. Systems kicked on and started heating. Systems shut off on high heat. Found filters to be extremely restricted. Noise that was coming from register was also from the dirty filter building pressure and Making it loud. Replaced filter that I had in my truck to work for now. Charged diagnostic fee and signed homeowner up on maintenance program. Homeowner prepaid form8 filters, 4 for each visit please make sure these are brought out on next 2 maintenance visits, sizes are in existing equipment. Cycled systems, systems are operational upon departure.
Performed isolation test on system. Found leaks in 2 of the flare fittings on the longer run to the indoor unit. Disconnected all flares on this side. Cut pipe, re flared and nyloged all of the joints. Pressure tested to 460psi and pressures where holding. Vacuumed system down below 500 microns before charging the system back to factory charge of 3.8 lbs. system is cooling and heating correctly at this time. If the joints that we re did leak this will be under warranty but if another leak springs in a different area this will not be under warranty
Performed furnace diagnostic on 2007 Coleman heater. Upon my diagnostic I found the customer had replaced high limit along with accidentally breaking hot surface igniter. Replace hot surface igniter and tested system, Also had to reset limit switch located in indoor blower compartment. System fired up and began to heat. upon further inspection I found that the supply vents were all covered up by furniture ultimately causing the initial failure of high limit error code. Due to the very bad air restriction occurring in the home this can cause the system to run a higher temperatures recommended that furniture is moved and filter swapped out at least 1 to 3 months. Supply temperature was coming out at 120Â° in system is fully operational and heating upon departure, signed customer up on maintenance plan to maintain both AC and heater once a year.
Upon arrival performed maintenance and diagnostic. Client stated they lost power a few times last night. System did not turn on for heat after that. Replaced secondary motor control as it was low and out of range. Installed surg protector to protect electrical components. Blower wheel dirty, client denied to clean. Cleaned inside of furnace cabinet and dusted off all electrical. Gas valve and shut off in working operation. Circuit board in good condtion.saftey switches in working order. System was reset tested and fully functional upon departure.
Preformed leak dye search and check. found no evidence of a leak dye. Sealant may have sealed micro leak. System pressure are holding properly.
Arrived on site to diagnose a that is making noise in furnace on a 2002 Intertherm Down flow system. Upon arrival spoke over with tenant and stated system dose work just every time system turns on system turns on really hard due to itâ€™s condition and system click on sending power to all components and could hear motor it self consuming a lot of amps And working really hard to turn it on. Inspected indoor and out door unit. Inspected electrical compartment, Wiring, connections , and components. Inspected out door unit. Checked components and recorded readings of compressor and fan motor. The summary of finds are as followed. Furnace 1. 2002 down flow system. Furnace door cover dose not stay shut due to having broken tabs that clip in and hold cover shut. As they are using hook to just hold door from falling down. 2. Found sections of thermostat wires exposed from rats chewing it up. But since home has a big rat and rodent issue and crawl space under home is full of rat poop would
Upon AC diagnostic, return to find that low-voltage wiring was once again disconnected due to rodent pulling wiring back into wall. Upon further investigation customer complain that indoor fan would not turn off, After applying force to fan relay the circuit had opened and fan stopped running although relay is no longer functional. Recommended running new low-voltage wiring throughout home back to condenser in conduit for protection against rodent so they may not chew up. Also must replace fan relay to get fan working again.
Upon my diagnostic on a 1989 Lennox air handler heatpump, I discovered that the transformer tripping reset has been going off. Seated investigating all low-voltage wires coming into terminal blocks and thermostat and found that all wiring was correct. I then made my way outside to the condensing unit and found that the wire fished from the inside of the wall has been chewed up by a Rodent. Paired low-voltage wiring in the further inspection found no refrigerant pressures were adequate although did contain our 22 Freon which was been January 1, 2020 and found that fancy terminal capacitor was becoming weak. System make screens Mollo voltage short if rodent problem is not addressed. low-voltage wiring shouldâ€™ve been run in in conduit as well.
Performed AC diagnostic on three-year-old Lenix condensing unit. Upon my diagnostic I found at the outdoor condensing unit have the fan running and not the compressor. Verified the secondary motor control was not bad in the compressor itself it failed. A compressor saver kit was added in the compressor then turned over and was pulling 10 Amps. Upon letting the system run for approximately 15 minutes I found that the R410a refrigerant pressure charge was very low. This is due to a leak somewhere within the refrigeration cycle. Leak dye was added along with 3 pounds refrigerant and a warranty compressor savor kit. Will follow up in about 30 days for a return visit on the Leak dye.
Upon arrival performed txv replacement. Old txv was stuck and wouldnâ€™t open. Replaced vacuumed system to 500 microns. Charged system up. System was reset tested and fully functional upon departure.
Upon arrival found txv to be restricted. Coming out Wednesday 15th to replace filter drier and txv.
