I performed a combo maintenance today on a Lennox system. Upon arrival, the system was operational and both heating and cooling mode. Caroline mentioned that she smelled a weird smell when the heating turned on last week. I explain to her that her system uses two types of fuel, refrigerant and gas. This smell comes from the oils left the system from manufacturing and is normal. I cleaned the outdoor coil and inside of the condenser as it was dirty. All return air filters were still clean. All electrical components tested within their ranges. Upon departure of the system is fully operational and both heating and cooling mode with optimal temperature differentials.
