Upon arrival upstairs system was down. Low voltage fuse failed again. Installed new fuse and system began to cool. Inspected wiring at thermostat. The low voltage wires didn’t look good and copper was exposed. Cut exposed wires and rewired the thermostat. Tested system for 2 hours without failure. Began 2 system maintenance. Downstairs condenser fan motor is rusting badly and leaking oil. Motor is using a lot of power and will likely fail in the future. Upstairs condenser fan motor is not as bad but still in poor shape. Cleaned condenser coils and brushed out electrical. Upstairs system has a good temp split. Downstairs is cooling 16/20. Charge on both systems are okay. Installed customer provided thermostat and smoke detector. Units are operational upon departure.
