Came out to call. Customer stated outside unit was working properly, just humming. I checked system over and found the unit needing to be cleaned and the capacitor bad on the system. Let customer know that the system needed cleaning and the capacitor needed to be replaced. Customer approved repair. I replaced the capacitor and also cleaned the unit. Checked amps, temperatures and pressures on condenser. System is from the late 90’s and should be replaced soon. Customer is aware the system is older and said she would have us out to give an estimate when she is ready. System is cooling to the best of its ability given the age and condition.
