I arrived to discuss a duct cleaning and possible plenum replacement. I inspected the duct work and found 90% of it to be metal duct work. The bathrooms are flex duct to the metal trunk lines. The plenum is in good condition on the outside and sealed properly. We agreed to leave the plenum and preform a duct cleaning on the duct system. We will also install a whole house air purification system in the supply plenum above the evaporator coil. We will lay drop cloths in the areas we will be working. We discussed a better filter system but the homeowner will start to replace the filters monthly to help catch the duct and dirt. I explained that the systems do not produce the dirt but it carries the debris in the air that it moves. A duct cleaning will remove the debris from the ducts and the air purification system will help keep the air clean and oder free. Performed a duct cleaning for customer.
