Ray F 7/26/22. Arrived to a new blue club member service call and the customer met me at the front door. I introduced myself and asked what ac problems he was having. He informed me that the air conditioner is not blowing cold air and showed me where the equipment was located. We inspected the air conditioner together and found the condenser fan motor running but no compressor. The 55/5 run capacitor reading 0/0. Contactor, wiring and disconnect in good condition. Condenser coils very dirty, restricting airflow. Cleaned condenser coils. Installed new capacitor with customer authorization and checked system operations. Compressor and condenser fan motor amps are within manufacturer recommendations. Found system low on R22 refrigerant. Inspected evaporator coil in the attic and found very rusted, but clean and free of obstructions. Blower motor and wheel are clean. 14x30x1 air filter is clean. Quoted customer price to add refrigerant and added (1) pound R22 with authorization.
