Came out to call for system not cooling properly. Customer stated that the system randomly just stopped cooling and he noticed the air coming inside the home wasn’t as cool. I checked system over and found the condenser running, but only the fan was operating. Turned off power to unit and checked the capacitor. Found it depleted and about to explode. Showed customer and explained what happened and the repair needed. Customer approved replacement. I replaced the capacitor, washed the condenser coil thoroughly, and cycled system back on. Checked amps, temperatures and pressures of condenser. System is operating properly within manufactured specifications at this time. Customer is aware system is original to home and should be replaced soon, but wants to keep it running for now. Gave customer a military discount.
