I arrived for a non member no cool call. I spoke with the homeowner and found that the outdoor system turns off and on at random. I inspected the system and found the drain line to be clogged up and the drain switch was causing the system to turn on and off with the air pressure of the pushing water into the safety switch. I blew the drain line out with nitrogen and emptied the safety switch drain port. It will let water in but not out. I checked the evaporator coil and all electrical components and the refrigerant charge and found the system to be running properly. I also inspected the duct work and found it to be undersized. I recommended to have them sign up on a maintenance plan due to today’s problem could have been prevented on a tune up and it would have not costed anything. We decided to dig up on a blue club plan. We also bid duct work at this time and we will follow up with the homeowner at a later date about the duct work. Jake K.
