Came out to call for a system not cooling properly. Customer stated that the upstairs system isn’t working as a well during the hotter parts of the day. I checked the system over and found that the attic space is quite small and the roof line is about 2-3 feet from the ceiling in most places. Got a temperature reading of 135 degrees and wasn’t the hottest part of the day yet either. I also found the condenser clogged with debris, keeping it from operating efficiently. Recommended customer have more attic ventilation put in on the roof for the upstairs and see if that solves the issue. Also recommended maintenance on systems be done yearly. Went ahead got approval to wash units and check operation. Cleaned both the upstairs and downstairs condenser coils. Checked amps, and temperature readings. Mini split has a 23 degree temperature difference at this time. System is operating properly within manufactured specifications.
