Ray F 8/8/22 Arrived to a new customer no cool service call and the customer pulled in the driveway as I was knocking on the door. I introduced myself and they showed me where the air conditioner was located. I did not enter the home. We found neither the air conditioner compressor or fan motor running. Had 240 volts to the contactor. Found the 45/5 mfd run capacitor reading 0/0. Contactor, wiring and disconnect are in good condition. The condenser coils are very dirty. Informed customer of my findings and quoted pricing for a new capacitor and our preventative maintenance program. Authorized the repairs. I replaced the capacitor, cleaned the condenser coils with water and checked the system operations. Found the refrigerant levels normal. Compressor and condenser fan motor amps are ok. System is cooling at this time. Recommend routine preventative maintenance on the system for increased efficiency and lower utility bills. Thank you for your business.
