Came out to call for a system not cooling. Customer stated the blower wasn’t coming on and could smell a burning smell, so they shut it off. I checked system over and found the blower motor not operating. Capacitor is good still, but the blower is seized up. I let customer know that the blower motor failed and went over pricing and repair needed. Customer approved repair. I replaced the blower motor, changed out the capacitor as well, then reinstalled the motor and blower assembly back in the furnace. Cycled system on and checked operation. I also changed the filter for the customer. Recommended maintenance plan on the system since it’s about 14 years old and hasn’t had much done to it. Customer wasn’t interested at this time.
