Blue shield club heating maintenance. Joe(JC)R. 03/19/2024 Performed full system evaluation and safety inspection. I arrived to perform the customers annual heater maintenance. The customer said that everything was working fine and didn’t have any questions or concerns for me and wasn’t interested in having the hot water tank flushed. After that I got started with the maintenance. I checked the heat exchanger and heating components along with the blower wheel and safeties. I found that for the most part the furnace was in good shape, but the blower wheel was dirty and needs to be pulled for a cleaning And because of the extra weight and resistance from the dirty blower wheel the blower motor capacitor is going weak and is out of tolerance. I recommended the customer that if they are going to continue with the system and keep it going as long as possible that they have that capacitor replaced sooner than later and the blower wheel cleaned and also to think about surge protectors an
