I returned to our clients home to install the replacement zone board. Once installed I was getting a new error code that indicated a short. I proceeded to test and inspect the low voltage wires until I found that the short was actually caused by a failed discharge air temperature sensor. I replaced the sensor and relocated it to a more centralized part of the supply plenum box. I then made an adjustment to the bypass damper module and reduce the restriction to allow more airflow to pass through the duct and not cause this problem again. I proceeded outside and verified the Freon pressures to be testing in range but I did find the compressor motor to have extremely high start amps. I showed this to Derek and he will talk to his brother in law who helped him replace the capacitor. The unit is currently cooling and running on departure.
