I arrived at our clients home for a courtesy recheck as well as potential issue. Our client had installed a return air duct but a few days ago the compressor went into a lock out while heating. I first reset the unit lockout and informed our client he was also able to reset it by shutting off the power to both indoor and outdoor units from the main breaker and turning both back on. I ran the unit in cooling for 30 mins and measured the static pressure. The static pressure measured a total of .33 inWC. With the change in static pressure the unit was behaving as if it was overcharged. Our client is aware that the chemical cleaning on the indoor evaporator coil and adding fresh air to the unit will help the overall performance and efficiency of the equipment but he is currently selling the home. I did remove a small amount of Freon before putting the unit to heat. Once removed I placed the heat pump to heat and let it run for 10 mins. Even with the warm indoor and outdoor temperatures
