I arrived to a mini split unit with 3 indoor heads not cooling properly. Our client had the system installed about 5 yrs ago and has never had it deep cleaned since. He actively tries to clean the filters himself on a regular basis. I looked at each individual indoor unit and found dust had collected on the blower motors. We discussed how dust restricts the fan blade and that a deep cleaning would be necessary before diagnosing anything else like refrigerant pressures. He agreed to clean all the indoor unit today and join our maintenance plan. Once I broke down all the units. Cleaned them and ensured they were put back together properly I ran the unit for 20 mins. The unit was cooling about 10° more than before and the homeowner could feel the difference in airflow. I did gauge up to the unit and could see it had low refrigerant pressures. I added 8oz of Freon and the unit began to cool with a 20° drop. Mr Henderson could feel the difference in air temperature. We agreed not to add
