Arrived to unit not cooling and continuous blown fuse inside the furnace. Upon arrival David explained he had replaced the thermostat and 3 different fuses and the unit would not come on in cooling mode. I immediately proceeded outside and found a failed contactor. I further tested the unit and found the capacitor to have early signs of failure. I showed my findings to David and he elected to replaced both components today. Once replaced I further tested the unit to ensure it was cooling properly. I found the compressor start amps to exceed manufacture specifications. I also found the indoor blower wheel to have significant dust accumulated on it from candles and dust in the home. The indoor blower motor was reading 9.36 and is max limit is 10. I discussed with David how the dust on the blower motor is contributing to significant wear and strain on the system.
