I arrived at our clients home for a single systems heat maintenance inspection. Our client provided me with a new filter to be replaced today. Once replaced I proceeded to clean the flame sensor, pressure switch port and test the furnace mechanics. I found the blower motor to be pulling high amps According to the manufacturer limit. I also tested and ensured the fire shutoff safeties were all working, everything passed inspection today. I showed our client my readings of the motor and we discussed how dust was directly affecting the motor amps. Our client elected to have me clean the motor today. Once cleaned I showed our client pictures and we saw a reduce amp reading. The unit is running properly on departure.
