Arrived for a 2 system cooling maintenance Inspection. Our clients voiced concerns about heat rising into the upstairs zone. I first did a visual inspection of the zone board and motors to ensure they did not have any type of damage. I then proceeded outside to wash and rinse both condenser coils. Once cleaned I tested and checked the electrical components and found everything to be working properly. I then went back inside and started testing the zone damper motors to ensure proper function. Both are operating properly. I did also check and test the blower motors for both attic units. For the upstairs zone I did make a slight airflow adjustment by restricting one of the air vents and also by setting the thermostat into auto. That way if and when the temperature set point are passed the unit can operate within the set 2 temp temperatures. Either to heat or cool and keep the space comfortable.
