Came out to call for a system not cooling properly. Tenants stated the system wasn’t working at all, and thinks it may have something to do with the thermostat. I checked the system over and found the thermostat malfunctioning and reading LO where the temperature usually registers at. I pulled the thermostat off wall to check wiring, and found everything correct. Put thermostat back on wall and it reset and started to operate. Thermostat may have an intermittent issue registering temperature in home. Recommended it be replaced. Also found the condenser capacitor reading way out of manufacturer tolerance range. Capacitor will fail soon. System also needs cleaning. Waiting on approval for repairs and will come back to complete.
