Today I had the pleasure of conducting maintenance on a 12 year old Concord heat pump system. Upon arrival , homeowner stated the system was not operational. He stated that there was something the last tech did to get him through the summer but wasn’t sure what it was. I connected my gauges and read everything electrically. I found the air handler and all components within operating normally. I then pulled the disconnect and read the capacitor and found it in great condition. I then connected the capacitor and plugged in the disconnect. The board did a slow simultaneous flash indicating a 5 minute time delay. I set a 5 minute timer to verify the code. The system turned on on time. I verified the functionality of the board. I found in cool mode, the board was receiving a call for R, C, and W1 indicating heat. I checked the air handler to verify the wiring and found it was wired correctly. I verified system pressures, fan amps, and condenser amps. All were within manufacturer specificati
