Performed preventative maintenance on 2 systems for customer. Changed out customer supplied filters in home. Inspected the blower assemblies, motors, electrical components, evaporator coils drains and overall condition of equipment in closet areas. Washed condenser coils thoroughly. Customer was having issues with Goodman unit cooling properly. Found the units contactor bad and needing to be replaced. Customer approved repair. I replaced the contactor and cycled unit on. Refrigerant pressures were reading just out of range according to my chart. Let customer know that the system isn’t performing as well as it should due to being slightly undercharged. Discussed options and also replacement. Customer wanted to add refrigerant for now and look into replacement later. I added 14oz’s of R22 to the system to get proper superheat. Checked remaining components, amps, temperatures and pressures of other condenser as well. Both systems are cooling properly.
