Summer AC tuneup on 2009 split system. Spoke with customer and filters weee just changed. Asked her system was working, and customers just looking to have a tuneup today. Washed condenser thoroughly, removing all panels and cleaning excess debris out from the base of the condensing unit. Checked to capacitor, hard start kit, search protectors, evaporator coil, condensate pump, condensate line, blower and ductwork. Surge protector on condenser took a hit and is out. Cycled system on and checked electrical and refrigerant pressures. Condenser fan motor reading 1.8/1.5 amps, compressor reading 12.8/17.9 amps and blower motor reading 6.2/6.9 amps. The condenser fan motor is starting to wear out at the bearings as noted by attached video, causing it to rock and sway as it runs. Recommend having it replaced, as it is a matter of time before it goes out. Customer wants to have a surge protector installed today and will look into having the condenser fan replaced in the near future. Recommend
