Today I had the pleasure of conducting maintenance on a 8 year old Carrier condenser unit with a 2 month old furnace. Upon arrival , homeowner stated that the system has been working fine but after the furnace was replaced, they had to replace the entire circuit breaker panel. I assured her that I would pay special attention to make sure the new circuit breaker panel hasn’t affected any electrical components within their system. I started by verifying system cleanliness. I found the furnace in pristine condition but the condenser coil was clogged on the side closet to the home. I then verified all amps temps and pressures. I found the refrigerant readings strange. The hi and low side pressures were spot on along with the superheat but the sub cool was reading 22.8 whereas the target was 10. I disconnected my gauges and cleaned the condenser coil and reverified the refrigerant I found all conditions were within manufacturer’s specifications. I discussed my findings with the homeowner b
