Sent out to Trussville for a client with an air conditioning unit that was not cooling properly. I found the issue to be a defective contactor and replaced it with a new Honeywell DP3030A5004 contactor. I also inspected the capacitor and replaced it with a Titan Pro 45/5 MFD dual run capacitor. Using a Fieldpiece SM380V manifold gauge, I checked the refrigerant levels and added R-410A to achieve the correct pressure. Finally, I cleaned the condenser coils with Nu-Calgon coil cleaner. The system is now functioning efficiently.
I completed seasonal AC maintenance on a Rheem Prestige Series unit. The work included cleaning both evaporator and condenser coils using coil cleaner, which ensures efficient heat exchange. I checked refrigerant levels and added R-410A refrigerant as needed. I inspected and lubricated the blower motor and fan to ensure smooth operation. Additionally, I tested the capacitor and contactor for proper functionality. Finally, I replaced the air filter with a MERV 13 filter and verified the system's overall performance, ensuring it operates efficiently and reliably.
